Iconic Soho Venue Reopens And It Looks Fantastic

Of London's grassroots music venues, The Borderline is one of the best-known. Indeed, we've sweated away many a night in this Soho institution.

A launchpad (in some way, shape or form) for pretty much every successful British artist, it's hosted genres from punk to pop, disco to death metal over the last 20 years.

Now, it's been refurbished by new owners DHP, and it looks fantastic. We always had an affection for the tatty but cosy 300-capacity venue, but the sprucing up has done it the world of good. See for yourself in these photos, and see you down the front...

The 300-capacity layout has been altered to create a flowing space from dance-floor to green room.
The new-look entrance.
The slick new-look entrance.
We fell down these stairs once, after one too many shandies.
