Museum of London has expressed an interest in acquiring both the Trump Baby balloon and the Sadiq Khan blimp for its permanent collection.

The over-sized inflatable Trump first took to the skies above Parliament Square in July 2018, in protest against the US President's visit to the capital, and his policies. A £5,000 crowdfunding campaign got the balloon off the ground, far exceeding its original target, and it has since travelled to other cities while the president has been visiting.

It was followed in quick succession by a balloon of Sadiq Khan, depicting the Mayor of London in a yellow bikini.

Trump Baby is expected to fly again this week while Trump is in town, after exceeding a new crowdfunding target of £30,000. This time, the money is going towards orgainsations 'working against Trumpism, including Sisters Uncut, which takes action against domestic and sexual violence, and Jawaab, a grassroots movement against racism and Islamophobia.

If the museum acquires the balloons, they will be added to the 'protest collection', alongside objects relating to suffrage history, anti-austerity marches, and climate change rallies.
