Join Celebrities, Advocates And London Leaders To Tackle Today's Challenges

This is sponsored article on behalf of the UN Foundation.

Got strong opinions on what families across the world need? Celebrities, leaders and advocates are uniting for a one-off event to share ideas on how to tackle the challenges that today's families are facing — and you can be there too.

Head to the UN Foundation's event on 15 June, which focuses on how to keep families happy and healthy in the current climate. Tickets are free for this one-day Families +Social Good event.

Organised in conjunction with Johnson & Johnson, the day will consist of livestreamed panel debates and more intimate chats, covering topics including the role of social media and philanthropy in improving wellbeing, as well as access to healthcare and the environment.

It's a timely event — what with worsening climate change, the fact that more people than ever need humanitarian aid, and the constant rise of non-communicable diseases, our world is a pretty tough place to be.

These issues impact on family life the world over, so this UN event aims to get ideas flowing about possible solutions to these challenges, and hopes to empower mothers, fathers and families to work together to make our future that bit better.

There will also be a screening of Unseen Enemy, an award-winning documentary about the frontline fight against infectious diseases — not exactly happy watching, but an important reality to witness.

Join the discussion, which features speakers including Heidi Thomas (screenwriter of Call the Midwife), Greg Barrow (head of London office at the UN World Food Programme), plus TV presenters and individuals from medical organisations.

Families +SocialGood takes place from 9:30 am - 3pm at The Brewery, 52 Chiswell Street, London, EC1Y 4SD. Tickets are free, but you'll have to register. Find out more about the schedule here.
