Duck And Waffle To Launch Second Restaurant In St James
The famous Duck and Waffle dish.

The hugely popular 24-hour restaurant Duck and Waffle is getting a sister in St James this spring.

Chef director Dan Doherty has planned a duck focused menu for this new fast-casual concept, which is designed to be a more accessible version of the original Heron Tower site.

That means a speedier delivery on dishes and more wallet-friendly prices. Oh, and it'll be a lot easier to get a table. There will even be a takeaway option for those who don't have time to sit down. Things to do, places to be...

The planned exterior of the new restaurant.

Shimon Bokovza, founder and managing partner said of the opening, "Duck & Waffle has been a hit from the start. We've served over one million guests and almost half a million dishes since opening in July 2012. We are now harnessing the energy of the brand and bringing it to the street in a more casual atmosphere that works for those who want the same high-quality food and drink they are used to from Duck & Waffle — but want it to be quick and accessible."

Don't worry, that famous duck and waffle dish will be on the menu, alongside new items such as a duck burger with crispy duck leg, and a duck jam doughnut. Side dishes will lighten things up — expect plenty of fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Other signature favourites will also make a return, including the BBQ crispy pigs ears (a Londonist favourite) and the Full Elvis waffles with peanut butter and caramelised banana.

The Full Elvis at Duck and Waffle. Uh huh.

Drinks will be innovative, with a range of 'Taps and Tails' cocktails, wines and beers. That means cocktails on tap, for those who need their drinks pronto. Who doesn't want that?

Duck and Waffle Local will be open from 8am to 1am every day from spring 2017 at 52 Haymarket, St. James's Market, SW1Y 4RP
