The Knot launches a new afternoon tea

Psychedelic South Kensington cafe The Knot Churros has launched an afternoon tea ā€” and as you'd expect, it's a far cry from your traditional sarnies and scones offering.

The 'I'm so freaking grateful for my churros afternoon tea' (catchy name, guys) begins with a choice of two freshly prepared bagels. Follow them up with an assortment of eight churros with assorted flavours and toppings, served up with a two Belgian chocolate dips.

Find it down a Kensington side street

Keep your sugar levels at peak with the soft serve ice cream dessert, each pot topped with an edible mermaid tail (naturally) and a cloud of candy floss. Choose a tea or latte to wash it all down.

If that sounds like too much of a dentist-appointment-in-the-making to get your head round, this video might make things a little clearer. Try not to lick your screen, eh?

The Knot opened in 2018, and quickly became known for its outlandish desserts and Instagrammable decor, packing pink and jungle-themed walls, life-size plastic flamingos, neon lights and fake flowers into its petite space. Here's what happened when we dropped by:

The Knot Churros, 13 Bute Street, South Kensington. Afternoon tea is Ā£45 for two, and must be booked in advance. Peruse other new afternoon teas in London (none quite this wacky though).
