Street Food And Views: Chill Out At Ally Pally's StrEATlife This Summer

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Alexandra Palace.

Blue skies. Sunshine. Sky-high temperatures. Cue Londoners packing out the capital's parks...

You can leave your sandwiches at home if you're thinking of heading down to Alexandra Palace later this month, though. Already boasting one of the best views in the city, Ally Pally's StrEATlife festival packs a plethora of street food and craft beer vendors into the park too — not to mention a free DJ set from the Scratch Perverts.

It all kicks off on the weekend of 28-29 July, when revellers can devour dishes from more than 30 street food vendors, including Mother Clucker's twice battered fried chicken (served from a converted US Army ambulance), and Arancina's homemade risotto balls. Yum.

Veggies and vegans aren't left out either, with Antonino's authentic Neapolitan pizza and Wholefood Heaven's Buddha bowls completing the line-up. These delicious noodle boxes won Best Main Dish at the British Street Food Awards, and are sure to delight veggies and meat-eaters alike.

Of course, it wouldn't be a summer celebration without that obligatory jug of Pimm's. Grab one to share between you and your mates, or opt for a refreshing cocktail, just for you. The festival sees the palace's grounds awash with more than 20 craft and cask ales too, with refreshing brews from the likes of Pin Up Brighton, Rouge USA and Dinkelacker.

Entry is completely free — just turn up when you're feeling peckish — and the legendary DJing duo, Scratch Perverts, are soundtracking the event on the Saturday. Their award-winning sound is sure to get the party started, with everything from hip-hop to dubstep blasting from the speakers.

Oh, and did we mention the views? We did? Sorry...

Ready to party? Catch StrEATlife at Alexandra Palace from 28-29 July 2018. Entry is completely free, but you are advised to bring cash. Can't make it this time? The festival returns on 18 August. Check out the full line-up here.
