Drinking Beer At The Gym? It's The Next Big Thing

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Heineken 0.0.

Is the gym becoming the new pub? A recent survey commissioned by Heineken found that 52% of Brits use the gym as a space for social interaction, as well as for keeping fit. A further 27% would choose the gym over a nightclub. Times in London are a-changing.

But that doesn't necessarily mean no beer. While traditionally, cracking open a cold one at the gym would raise a few eyebrows, a growing trend in non-alcoholic beers means that it's now OK to swig a Heineken when you're fresh off the spin machine. A special kind of Heineken, anyway.

While Heineken 0.0 looks and tastes like something you'd order in the pub on a Friday night, it is in fact completely alcohol-free. Water, barley, malt and hop extract — all the ingredients as a traditional beer — are twice brewed, and then fermented with Heineken's unique A-yeast.

Then: the really clever bit. A natural process gently filters out all of the alcohol, before the brewmaster blends it to achieve a fruity flavour with malty notes. The result is a perfectly balanced brew that won't leave you with a fuzzy head come morning. (Actually, you could even drink it in the morning.)

And if you're wondering about wellbeing: Heineken has only 69 calories per bottle, which means that treating yourself to a frosty one after your workout won't involve sacrificing those all-important gains.

Come to think of it, the gym's one of many places Londoners can enjoy Heineken 0.0. You could try it in the park with lunch or in the office while working hard.

With a no-alcohol recipe that has been years in the making, Heineken 0.0 is alcohol-free beer, done properly.
