A Soho Chip Shop Is Selling Battered Quality Street This Christmas
Is nothing sacred?

Farewell battered Mars bar — hello battered Quality Streets.

In a bid to generate the ultimate foodie Christmas gimmick, Poppies of Soho are giving festive faves, Quality Street, a somewhat fishy makeover.

They look better with the wrappers on, don't they

From 1-25 December, the Old Compton Street branch of the fish 'n' chip chain will be serving up 'lucky dips' of battered Quality Street — five for £2.50. (Whether you buy a side of chips to go with is presumably optional.)

We're going to be honest here: we think battered Mars bars are pretty awesome, so there's no reason why SOME Quality Streets shouldn't take on a whole new level of deliciousness when enveloped in slightly salty batter (we're looking at you, The Purple One).

Please be purple, please be purple...

BUT. The risk is, of course, that we'll wind up with five toffee pennies... Worst. Christmas. Ever.
