A Floating Wine Festival Is Sailing Into London

Fancy discovering a whole new world of wine while taking in stunning autumnal views of The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the Tate Britain? Then don't miss Wine Over Water — a new Thames-faring festival dedicated to all things grape.

This September, the Tamesis Dock boat welcomes winemakers from all over the globe to show off their award-winning libations, allowing you to get a taste of Hungary, South Africa, France, Italy, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand without ever leaving Albert Embankment.

Wannabe wine aficionados can take part in 'Voyage to Discovery' tastings, discover the hottest new wine trends, and put their newfound vino know-how to the test with blind tasting competitions where whole caseloads of wine is up for grabs.

Wine Over Water takes place on 22-23 September, with tickets costing £25 a pop. That gets you eight tasting samples, and once you've discovered your favourites, you can purchase them by the glass on board, or arrange for them to be delivered to your door. So, if you fancy being a drunken sailor for the day, what are you waiting for?
