Thousands Of Free Mr Men Books Are Being Given Away On The South Bank

10,000 Mr Men books are being given away across the UK — and the first stop is London's South Bank.

Be at the South Bank near Gabriel's Pier from 10am, on Tuesday 28 August to get a free book, and meet Mr Strong (also someone called Rochelle from something called The Saturdays). Though there's nothing to strictly say you should have at least one child with you, please have at least one child with you.

The giveaway is part of an initiative from Mr Men and Haliborange, to help improve literacy, improve cognitive development, and encourage more reading opportunities for children.

We're not sure how long the book supplies will last. Turn up nice and early if you don't want a Mr Grumble or Little Miss Trouble on your hands for the rest of the day.

The bookmobile will also be visiting Bradford, Manchester, Nottingham and Peterborough. More info here.
