Since it opened in October, Boxpark Croydon has become THE place to be south of the river. With an exciting array of over 30 food and drink traders on offer, Boxpark is adding festive cheer to the mix as it launches its December schedule: Croydon is about to get Christmassy.

Eat. Drink. Play. is Boxpark's motto, and its latest events listings certainly live up to this. A month of festivities begins with the much-awaited Christmas lights switch on. At 7pm on 8 December, the foodie hub will be all aglow when legends So Solid Crew hit the button and switch on the Christmas lights. Entry is completely free.

Head to the Boxbar after the switch-on for GirlGang, a night celebrating up and coming female artists as they take control of the night's music. In fact, every Thursday at Boxpark Croydon until Christmas will be about the tunes. This will be a weekly night giving a platform to new talent — check out BBC 1Xtra DJ Semtex's party Nation of Billions on 15 December.

Still need to get your presents sorted? Boxpark will be playing host to Made in Croydon on 10 December, bringing local makers to the pop-up. Running from 10am - 4pm, crafters and creators will be selling their wares for gift-buying in time for the big day. Pick up some unique and hand-crafted gems from artwork to jewellery, fashion to interior design.

Be prepared to let loose on Friday and Saturday nights as Boxpark's resident DJs take to the BoxBar. If sitting back and relaxing sounds more up your street, why not settle down in a deck chair for Boxpark's festive film screenings on 19, 20 and 21 December? Huge screens, popcorn and Christmas spirit is sure to get you feeling ready for the big day.
