Have You Played On This Christmas Tree That's Also A Video Game, At King's Cross?

When it comes to public Christmas trees, we thought we'd seen it all. But now we get wind of a tree in King's Cross station, that's also a computer game.

The playable tree, designed by Robin Baumgarten, stands six metres tall, and consists of 200 LED lights, plus a joystick. As to how it works:

Players navigate obstacles and fight enemies by bending the controller forward and back, while enemies are attacked by flinging the spring.

OK, having read this and watched the video, we're still not sure we entirely understand how you 'play' the tree. But we're sure as heck going to give it a go when we're next at the station.

Read more about the tree and how it works here.
