Fall Down The Rabbit Hole At This Alice In Wonderland Themed Christmas Festival
Alice in Winterland Southwark Park London Christmas 2018

An Alice in Wonderland themed Christmas festival is coming to Southwark Park this month, with 160 giant lanterns retelling the classic story.

Wander through 29 interactive scenes, including a giant chess game, and meet characters such as the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts. A five-metre tall Alice and a four-metre high white rabbit are just the tip of the iceberg, with some of the lanterns up to six metres high and 16 metres wide.

The lanterns are similar in style to those seen at The Magical Lantern Festival which has been held in Chiswick in previous years.

Once you've explored Wonderland, dine with the Mad Hatter at a Mad Hatter's Tea Party — food and drink stalls will be selling food and drink for adults and kids, including mulled wine.

The experience ends with a trip to see Santa in his grotto in Wonderland, where kids can have a chat with the man himself and find out if they're on the naughty or nice list.
