Enoteca Rosso, Kensington
West London already has its share of Italian restaurants, with an embarrassment of riches in Notting Hill and Soho. But when one comes along with a chef like Flavio Militello in the kitchen — and dishes like fig carbonara on the brunch menu — that's still something to get stoked about. Fig carbonara? When in Kensington.

Oxalis at The Sun & 13 Cantons, Soho
Their six-month Soho residency comes on the heels of a stint in East Dulwich which dazzled our Features Editor, Will Noble. Phrases like 'melt on the tongue' and comparisons to Michelin-starred joints were tossed about. Read his full review here. Now they're setting up in Soho, you can expect them to go from poorly-kept secret of south London to darlings of W1.

Camino, Shoreditch
Just as autumn hits London, Camino's arrived in Shoreditch to help you hang on to that warmer-climes feeling. The newest branch from this tapas restaurant and bar is launching with a free takeaway paella for punters turning up on 6 October — we reckon it's worth eating in, though, for hot tapas, cold sangria and a bit of it's-still-summer-though denial.

October's all about All Hallows', obvs, and our article about how to celebrate this Halloween has a good number of food and drink options on it — think themed cocktails and pumpkin-carving. A themed taco pop-up is arriving in Bermondsey to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with a night of music, film, mezcal cocktails and glow-in-the-dark tacos.
In non-Halloween news, One Star House Party is arriving in Notting Hill for four weeks. This is the London leg of a pop-up tour that's been to eight different locations so far, including Vietnam, China and Everest Base Camp... The nomadic chefs are serving an 8-course menu, featuring dishes inspired by every country on their tour so far.
Herman ze German's three bars are serving up Bavarian platters in honour of Oktoberfest: Bratwurst, schnitzel, smoked pork belly and Käserkreainer - smoked pork filled with cheese, to see you through that long, cold Bavarian winter. Comes with pickles, paprika fries and an optional extra stein of their own BLCK Forest Brew, available until 29 October.
Le Petit Chef is arriving on 20 October for a three-month residency at TT Liquor. We'll be honest, several press releases, a promo video and much talk of projectors and visual dinner experiences later, we're still not sure exactly what's involved in this pop-up, inspired by the journey of Marco Polo. One way to find out, we guess.
The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival's kicking off, and Hutong's marking it with a chilli set menu of Sichuan-inspired dishes — beef tenderloin in chilli broth, sea bass with pickled chilli and chilli-laced versions of the traditional mooncakes.
And Tea Room — the beautiful, ye olde Hong Kong cocktail den underneath Bun House in Soho — is offering entire mooncake flights if you want to celebrate the festival the sweet-toothed way.
