Hannah looks after all things commercial at Londonist. She's been part of the team for over seven years, starting out as an intern and working her way up to Head of Business Development. These days, she spends her time coming up with ways to connect brands with Londonist readers and putting together pitches and proposals for everything from quirky local events to major happenings in London and beyond.

Originally from the North East and now living in Sheffield, Hannah is a Northerner at heart, but spent over a decade in the capital — long enough to claim honorary Londoner status (and confidently navigate the Circle line).

Laura started at Londonist on a three-month internship back in 2014... and never left. She's now Contributing Editor, a role which sees her covering anything and everything in London (and often beyond), from steam trains to skyscrapers to Beyoncé, often all in the same day.

As the adrenaline addict of the team, she's swum with sharks, white water rafted, and abseiled down the ArcelorMittal Orbit, all in the line of duty. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Christmas in London, a penchant for quirky afternoon teas, and a love of ice skating.

Don't tell anyone, but Laura's from the ‘wrong side’ of the M25 for the liking of most Londoners, being born and bred in deepest, darkest Kent (well, Tonbridge). As a result, she's still fascinated when she sees buses running after 6pm.

Follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Bluesky. She occasionally blogs here.

It's fair to say that Matt is London-obsessed. In the cause of exploring London, he has waded along the buried River Fleet (twice), spent the night in a haunted plague pit, crawled through the little-known tunnel beneath the deck of London Bridge, and walked along the tracks beneath Leicester Square at 2am. Matt has lived in Blackheath, Borough, Greenwich, Weybridge, West Hampstead, Fortune Green and Chalk Farm. Thanks to the capital’s obscene property prices, he’s since gone into exile in what he optimistically refers to as "The Future London Borough of Elstree and Borehamwood". It’s just a bit west of Barnet, since you ask.

Matt is the main contributor to Londonist: Time Machine, a Substack 'bestseller' newsletter about the history of London.

Matt is also author of 12 books, including London Night and Day (2015), Everything You Know About London Is Wrong (2016), the bestselling/award-winning Atlas of Imagined Places (2021) and its sequel Atlas of Imagined Cities (2023). His forthcoming book The Boroughs of London (2025) explores the history and peculiarities of London's 32 boroughs.

NOTE: Matt is Editor-at-Large of Londonist. That means he used to be editor, but has now stepped back to spend more time with his Oyster card (update: Apple Pay). Please only contact him with (a) invitations to unusual locations like sewers, rooftops or dungeons; (b) invitations to give a talk (he does like talking); (c) random questions about the history/culture of London. There's no point sending him press releases or product pitches as he feeds them to his imaginary dog.

Tabish Khan is a critic specialising in London's art scene, and believes passionately in making art accessible to everyone. He has been writing for Londonist since 2012, previewing the big exhibitions to see every month. He also writes Londonist's art newsletter Urban Palette. Tabish first stumbled on the art world through seeing exhibitions advertised on Underground posters, and he loves it when a Londonist review now appears on one of these posters.

Tabish writes regularly for FAD and has also penned pieces for Artsy, Elephant and New York Observer. He co-hosts the podcast The Good, The Bad and The Arty and curates exhibitions. He regularly judges prizes and speaks about art in panel talks and on television.

Will Noble has been at Londonist for over a decade, and these days is Features Editor. His proudest moments include opening up Tower Bridge, interviewing Michael Caine, and seeing how many times he can crowbar Gordon's Wine Bar into an article. Outside of Londonist, Will has written for the Guardian, CNN and the Telegraph. Will is also on a mission to un-besmirch the contentious name of his hometown of Croydon. He delivers talks about good things that happened in Croydon, and his debut book Croydonopolis: A Journey to the Greatest City in the World was published in 2024.
