There are still plenty of opportunities to gorge your London geek on good stuff at Barbican's Urban Wandering film season, looking at film and the London Landscape. This week there's Nighthawks, John Smith's London, World City and An American Werewolf in London, Swandown and The Sandwich Man to list just a few.
Looking ahead to next week, we have three pairs of tickets to give away to a double bill of intriguing events on Tuesday 1 October:
Going Underground with Karen Russo - 6.15pm
Remember the Hackney Mole Man? Artist Karen Russo has created an installation in the Barbican Cinema foyer of photos and text related to her investigation into his compulsive digging. Russo's interest in the psychogeography of subterranea is further demonstrated through other films and conversation with the artist, including Economies of Excess, a film shot by a robot camera in a sewer.
Faceless + Emily Richardson shorts - 8pm
An eerie sci-fi movie by Manu Luksch uses London CCTV footage and creates a world where everyone is faceless (watch trailer). Short films by Emily Richardson include a journey through Hackney looking at loss and disappearance, a focus on a south London tower block and nocturnal east end streets. Both directors will be in conversation after the screenings.
Want to win a pair of tickets and do this Urban Wandering double bill on Tuesday 1 October? Enter your details in the form below, prove you're human and hit submit.
THIS COMPETTION IS NOW CLOSED.
We'll pick three winners after midday on Thursday 26 September and notify them by email. Usual Londonist competition policy applies. Good luck!
