Londonist was founded in October 2004 and has a strong and loyal following. Each month we receive over 500,000 visits, 350,000 uniques, and 1.2+ million page views. We have 60,000+ Twitter followers and around 5,000 subscribers to our daily digest email. Our Facebook page is ‘liked’ by over 20,000 people and we have one of the largest FourSquare audiences in London. Almost 5,000 people contribute to our Flickr photo pool, which contains over 170,000 images of London.

Advertising policy
We occasionally carry advertising content in our editorial stream. To make this clear, such content is labelled as ‘sponsored by’, or ‘in partnership with’, has author name ‘sponsor’, and any associated tweets carry the word ‘sponsor’. We avoid blatant SEO-style advertising and material from so-called content farms and work with advertisers to make sponsored content of genuine interest to a London audience.
Competitions policy
Competitions on Londonist are nearly always commercially arranged and marked ‘sponsored’ as highlighted above. Normally, we need to take an email address in order to notify winners. We will never share contact details with third parties (such as the company behind the competition) without opt-in permission. Nor will we store or use your details ourselves, other than to notify winners.
