If you could somehow magic away all of London's buildings, roads and car parks you'd end up with something like this. London's Great Outdoors map shows the capital's many green spaces, which includes areas such as cemeteries (pink), sports fields (yellow) and allotments (orange) as well as various woods, farmland and fields in shades of green. Trails such as the London LOOP and Capital Ring are also shown.
The map was put together by Charlie Peel for the Greater London National Park City initiative — a plan to give the capital the status of a 'National Park City' in recognition of its often under-appreciated green credentials.
This is just a start. Sales of the map (and others) will help the cartographers to design and print a new, super-large fold-out map to help people explore the city's green side.
Buy the map and support the wider project via its Indiegogo crowdfunding page.
