Dainty morsels. That's okay though, there's 100 of them.

Tickets for a potentially record-breaking feast went on sale at 9am this morning.

It will be London's longest dinner party lasting 1,000 minutes – that's 16 hours and 40 minutes.

The dinner party starts at 9am on 8 October and runs until 1.40am the next morning.

Could you eat 100 courses?

Taking place at La Belle Assiette, the meal will be paired with a selection of Nicolas Feuillatte champagnes.

What's the point? We're not sure. Oh, and it'll cost you: £1,000 a ticket for 100 courses. If you'd like to get a smaller slice of the action, tickets for 1.5 hours slots (£49) are available involving a paltry 9 courses (you can get a Big Mac after).

The men behind the meal: Stephen and Giorgio.

It might be worth going along later on, just to see how founders Stephen and Giorgio are getting on — they're attempting the full 1,000 minutes.

Tickets are available from the Eventbrite website.
