THAMES ART INSTALLATION: See Ik-Joong Kang's Floating Dreams in the middle of the Thames next to Millennium Bridge. Composed of 500 illuminated drawings, the artwork remembers the millions of Koreans displaced during the 1950-53 Korean War. The installation is part of Totally Thames festival, which takes place throughout September. Free, just turn up, until 30 September

BJÖRK EXHIBITION: Somerset House has a virtual reality exhibition about all things Björk. The collection of digital and video works feature some of Icelandic icon Björk's most exciting collaborations as well as her MoMa-commissioned immersive film, Black Lake. £15, book in advance, until 23 October

FIRE OF LONDON: Browse through potions, silver, rare books and other items which survived the Great Fire of London at this Royal College of Physicians exhibition marking the 350th anniversary. Learn some of the gruesome methods used to treat burns at the time of the fire. Free, just turn up, until 16 December

HARRY POTTER: Take part in an interactive colouring event to celebrate the first day of term at Hogwarts. Takes place at King's Cross station — note that the event will be filmed. Free, just turn up, from 7am

WESTMINSTER ART: It's the last chance to catch The Ethics of Dust, the 50m-long cast of the wall of the Palace of Westminster. The artwork by Jorge Otero-Pailos encompasses hundreds of years of history. Free, book in advance, from 9am

DRAWING CLASS: Test your artistic skills at in a drawing class at Selfridges, under the guidance of artists from the Royal Drawing School. All materials provided. Free, just turn up, 5pm
