Travel Back In Time In Search Of The First Wimbledon

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Stella Artois

Two partners. Two big names. Two humble beginnings: Stella Artois and The Championships, Wimbledon.

Immersive theatre group Les Enfants Terribles and Stella Artois invite you to time travel back to Victorian London, where a host of characters will take you on a journey in search of the first Wimbledon, which was then just a little-known tennis tournament.

Time travel is thirsty work, but fear not, a Victorian barkeep will be on hand with a little Belgian beer that’s also new to London. And when you’re ready to go back to the future, you can enjoy a cold chalice of Stella Artois and watch live action from Wimbledon 2016 on huge screens, so you can see just how far the world’s biggest tennis tournament and Belgium’s biggest beer have come from their humble beginnings.

As well as sating your sports appetite, you can also satisfy your hunger with a menu of Victorian-inspired delights from the culinary experts at Bompas & Parr.

If you want to be one of the lucky people to experience this unique immersive theatre treat, be quick — time isn't on your side as it only runs from 7-10 July.

The Time Portal runs from 7 -10 July, from noon-9.40pm. Tickets cost £13.50-£18 (including a £1 booking fee) for each 40-minute theatrical experience, including two free drinks. Visit www.ebplive.co.uk/stellaartois to find out more.
