Visitors to Covent Garden Piazza today can see artist and fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac (JCDC) sketching pop-art inspired murals and poetry onto the large-scale mirror installation, Reflect London.
Having been in fashion for over 40 years, JCDC is probably best-known for dressing Pope John Paul II and 5,000 priests in rainbow-coloured robes, and as the designer of THAT teddy bear coat Madonna wore.
Today he's using the mirrors as a canvas for his familiar drawings, the reflective surfaces ensuring the viewer becomes part of the art.
See portrayals of legendary Londoners like Vivienne Westwood and Keith Richards. Through using just four bright colours, JCDC has made sure that the mural is as striking as its surroundings.
See JCDC work on the mirrors until about 5pm today. His illustrations will remain on the mirrors throughout July.
