Visit This Giant Immersive Beehive In Kew

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Kew Gardens.

It may look like something out of a sci-fi film, but believe us — this giant metallic beehive is real enough.

The Hive arrives in Kew Gardens on 18 June — an immersive, multi-sensory experience inspired by scientific research into the health and lifestyle of bees.

Originally created as the centrepiece of the UK Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo, The Hive is made up of thousands of individual pieces of aluminium — and intrepid visitors are invited to step inside, and have a good gawp.

What's REALLY special about The Hive is the 1,000 glowing and fading LEDs, and contantly-changing orchestral soundtrack — both reacting to the real time movement of an ACTUAL beehive, behind the scenes at Kew.

This is perhaps the closest you'll ever get to being a bee yourself. We're already buzzing.

The Hive is at Kew Gardens from 18 June. Entry to The Hive is included with day entry to Kew.
