Rebel Wilson To Make London West End Debut In Guys And Dolls

Aussie comic actor Rebel Wilson is to make her London West End debut next month.

Wilson tweeted the news that she'll be playing Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls at the Phoenix Theatre for a limited eight-week run.

Wilson takes over from Samantha Spiro who's currently playing Miss Adelaide; and joins a cast of West End regulars including Nigel Lindsay as Nathan Detroit and Oliver Tompsett as Sky Masterson.

Better known for her TV and film work, particularly in Bridesmaids and as Fat Amy in the two Pitch Perfect films, this will be Wilson's first theatre performance for many years, and her first ever in the West End.

Guys and Dolls is a fun tale of gangsters in New York, and the love story between a gambler and a Salvation Army woman. Wilson's Miss Adelaide is the unlucky fiancee of another gangster: their engagement has dragged on for 14 years without any hint a wedding. It's a part with plenty of laughs, as well as a number of big songs to contend with.

Fans of Wilson can also see her as one of the 60-odd cameo appearances in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, out in July.

Book now to see Rebel Wilson in Guys and Dolls from 28 June-21 August. The show is currently booking until 7 January 2017.
