Here's some truly saw-inspiring art:
Dan Rawlings creates stunning landscapes by hand-carving saw blades, and turning them into silohuette images. It's a clever touch to use an instrument of creation as the canvas — and we love how he even uses the saws' teeth.
But this show — at east London gallery Curious Duke — promises to offer more than just Rawlings's trademark blade works. He will also apply his hand-carved technique to an oil can, a painting and... a plane wing.
Dan Rawlings: Untranslated is on at Curious Duke Gallery, 173 Whitecross street, EC1Y 8JT 6-28 May. Entrance is free.
