Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh will appear at the Roundhouse next month.
The Leith-born writer — and enthusiastic tweeter — will be on stage as part of Tongue Fu, a consortium of poets, storytellers, rappers and comedians, who perform to improvised soundtracks from the genre-hopping Tongue Fu Band and animations from design studio CR&D.
Others on the bill for 3 June include 'super-poet' Hollie McNish, beatbox legend Beardyman, US poetry slam champ Buddy Wakefield, and UK slam winner Deanna Rodger.
Tongue Fu is at Camden Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8EH on 3 June at 7,30pm. Tickets £15
