Every London Cyclist Should Check Out This Festival

This is a sponsored reader offer on behalf of Spin — The Cycling Festival.

Discover the perfect combination of bikes, art, inspiration, fashion, innovation and style at Spin this May.

The show celebrating all things bike-related returns to the Old Truman Brewery from 20-22 May and we've got an exclusive offer for Londonist readers.

Get two tickets for just £15 (normally £26): head to the Spin website and quote LONDONIST at the checkout.

See over 150 of the most forward-thinking cycling brands as they present must-have products, kit and ideas for seasoned velophiles, bicycle beginners, and the cycle-curious. Whether you’re a road cyclist, weekend warrior, super commuter, single speeder, art lover or coffee aficionado — there's something for you.

In fact there are over 100 exhibitors — from road brands like Bianchi, Cinelli, and Brother, urban names like Brompton, Chapeau! and Moulton, to innovation from new start-ups like Blaze, Beeline and Lumos — spinning into Shoreditch's Old Truman Brewery in just two week's time.

The world’s best BMX Flatland riders will come to Spin to compete in Ground Control, too. Across the weekend, riders will be tested in the 'Best Trick' competition, with beginner, expert & pro classes and comps running throughout, finishing with the Open Jam Circle. See who's crowned the champion, only at Spin!

The Frame Lab

Whatever you're looking for from your next bike, the expert frame builders at Spin have the answers, guidance and inspiration you need. Frame crafters from Hartley Cycles, Quirk Cycles, Downland Cycles and Bamboo Bicycle Club will show you all you need to know about welding, brazing and creating bikes to be proud of.

The Summit

Cycling celebrities, competition winners, record holders, writers, experts and campaigners — over 100 speakers will pack into The Summit at Spin, waiting to answer your questions. With headline speakers, Chris Boardman and Martyn Ashton, and a full weekend schedule including a dedicated feature on women's cycling and entrepreneurship, prepare to discover everything you never knew about the cycling world.

In the frame

Put your own creativity in the frame at this collaborative paint design project with Cole Coatings's workshop at Spin. The south London company have been turning out breathtaking bike finishes for the last year — and there isn't much they can't do. Bring your sketches, doodles, words and ideas, and they'll create a stencil and apply your design to a collaborative customised bike frame to be raffled for charity.

And more...

Don't forget to grab something to eat and drink from the tantalising array of street food, Workshop coffee and in-house craft beer festival on offer, create a cycling masterpiece at the Art Hub, listen to the live DJ sets, or watch the action of the Giro d’Italia, live at Spin throughout the weekend. See a bike you like? Try it out on the purpose built test track! Whatever cycling culture means to you, you’ll find it in spades at Spin.

Spin: The Cycling Festival takes place at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane from 20-22 May.
