Wednesday will be a good day: Bleeker St. and their magnificent burgers make an official return to the Southbank. They'll have two containers and seating space for 30 people.
But the most exciting thing is that all day on 25 May there'll be 50% off all food. That means you can get the meatlovers delight, the Bleecker Black (two patties and black pudding) plus angry fries for £7 rather than the usual £14. Like we said: Wednesday will be a good day.
(There's going to be a queue, though. There will definitely be a queue.)
While we're talking burgers, Chiltern Firehouse has thrown a bit of a strop and removed all burgers from its menu after food inspectors weren't impressed that the restaurant occasionally cooks its patties rare, if requested. Chiltern's hygiene rating got downgraded to two stars and, rather than meet temperature recommendations, the menu is now sans burgers.
