Hey, Hollywood, any chance you can stop blowing up our city for just one minute? We got smashed to smithereens in London Has Fallen, bombed in Star Trek Into Darkness and now it looks like the aliens are coming for us in the new Independence Day film.
At 2:10 in this trailer, we see a futuristic plane (built using alien technology, if we're following the plot) weaving over the Thames, just missing the London Eye as it collapses into the river.
"They like to get the landmarks," deadpans Jeff Goldblum.
Indeed they do — Tower Bridge then gets flattened under a burning sky.
