Covent Garden Has Been Covered In Giant Mirrors

If you go down to Covent Garden today, you're in for a big surprise — it's been wrapped in wrapped 32,000 sq ft of mirrors.

Reflect London is a new project, created by design agency Sculptivate, which uses 67 reflective surfaces on the eastern façade of  Covent Garden's Market Building.

The creators explain:

Visitors gazing into the mirrored surface will be able to take a moment of reflection, as 19th century classical architecture and modern minimalism collide with the sky in a dazzling spectacle of reflected light.

As time passes, the angles of the mirrors will be adjusted to create an ever-changing surface reflecting 'countless viewpoints and endless perspectives' of Covent Garden.

The mirrors will be there for eight months. Although we predict the place is already swarming with people taking selfies. Oh yes, look:
