Head to London's biggest waterside festival this bank holiday weekend, as the IWA Canalway Cavalcade returns to Little Venice.
On Saturday, there's a pageant of beautifully decorated boats from 2.30pm. Wander over on the Sunday to see a boat handling competition; a blessing of the boats by the Bishop of London; and a Teddy Bears' Picnic at 3pm. Stay into the evening to enjoy the spectacle of illuminated boats, plus live music.
On Monday, there's a second boat handling competition; an awards ceremony; and a processional finale between 3pm-5pm.
As well as the boats, there's plenty going on at this free family-friendly festival. You can enjoy a Punch & Judy show in Rembrandt Gardens, a tasty selection of food stalls, a real ale bar and more.
The Canalway Cavalcade runs at Little Venice from 10am-6pm on 30 April; 10am-10.30pm on 1 May; and 10am to 5pm on 2 May. Attendance is free. Visit www.waterways.org.uk to find out more.
