It's the tube map, but not as we know it.

Homeless charity Shelter has redefined the London Underground map to highlight just how pricey it is to rent a place in the capital.

The zones have been altered to show levels of affordability — zone 1 being totally unaffordable, zone 2 difficult to afford, and zone 3 affordable.

Of the 270 stations on the network only 15 are in areas where private renting can be considered genuinely affordable.

To explore the map, and to find out how Shelter defines what's affordable, check out their website.

Shelter is asking Londoners to sign a petition that ensures the new mayor commits to fixing renting in the city.
