Martin Parr is hot property at the moment. The photographer is curating an exhibition at the Barbican Art Gallery opening soon. And he's recently finished a two-year term as the photographer-in-residence for the City of London.

An exhibition of his photographs as an inside man in the City takes place at Guildhall Art Gallery. It captures some of the pomp and ceremony of the Lord Mayor's show and inauguration.

But in keeping with Martin Parr's signature style, there are plenty of times he snapped people who are at ease, or weren't expecting to be caught on camera.

Some of the images are of private banquets and ceremonies that are off limits to most people, so it's a rare chance to get a look at what goes on behind closed doors.
