CLASSIC AND SPORTS CARS SHOW:
The inaugural Classic & Sports Car – The London Show features 300 tasty motors as well as an automotive art gallery, displays of historic racing cars and plenty more to satisfy classy petrolheads. It's also perfectly timed to coincide with other high-profile London motoring events, including the 119th London to Brighton Veteran Car Run on 1 November and the Regent Street Motor Show, which starts on 31 October. Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-5pm
COLOURFUL MISTS:
Get lost in a multicoloured mist at Veronica Ann Janssens's Light Show at Wellcome Collection. It's a calming and meditative experience, although you may have to queue at busy times. Free, just turn up, until 3 January
WEEKEND SPACE CADETS:
A free programme of activities about space science/exploration for families. Workshops cover topics from life on the International Space Station, to the latest robotic missions exploring our solar system and beyond. Royal Observatory, free, 12.30pm-3.30pm
SOUND UNBOUND:
The Barbican Classical Weekender features over 60 short concerts of music from medieval to modern, featuring over 600 performers. Learn about the power and relevance of classical music, with an unparalleled variety of music in an informal setting. Saturday and Sunday 11am - late

SOHO WALKING TOUR:
Britain’s rock and roll history is writ all over Soho. From The Beatles to The Who, many of the UK’s greatest bands cut their teeth in Soho’s dingy clubs and pubs. This walking tour takes in dozens of venues that hosted memorable gigs over the years. Photos and a never-ending supply of fascinating facts bring Soho’s rock history to life. BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH:
Linger over bottomless sangria, Bloody Marys and Bellinis, plus delicious dishes including grilled merguez sausages with wilted spinach, roast potatoes and tomato relish. Eat, drink and be merry as you gaze at Tower Bridge from this beautiful venue. More London Estates, £43, 12 noon
CRAFT BEER TASTING:
Explore the Bermondsey Beer Mile and discover what goes into brewing the perfect craft beer. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the craft beer business and taste creations along the way. Tour starts at Tower Bridge, 1pm
THE REAL EAST END:

INTRODUCTORY SEWING CLASS:
Always wanted to learn to sew but not had the chance? This three hour sewing workshop is for beginners and will teach you all the basics. HALLOWEEN AT MIDNIGHT APOTHECARY:
Midnight Apothecary brings Halloween magic with pumpkins, ravens and exquisite fireside cocktails in the roof garden, before the brave descend into the underground chamber where Brunel nearly perished. Brunel Museum, £5, 5.30pm-11pm
HALLOWEEN HARRY POTTER:
Knock to enter a Halloween evening like no other, at Dulwich Picture Gallery. Explore M.C. Escher’s baffling world, create your own takeaway artwork and enjoy Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on the big screen. The best Potter-inspired Halloween costumes will win Escher goodies. SHADOW OVER SHOREDITCH:

ICE HOCKEY:

BUSY P'S 20 YEARS OF PARTY:
Across October, November and December, Pedro Winter, aka GetBusy P, will play every Saturday at XOYO as he presents his 20 Years of Party. Tonight Ed Banger Records' remix maestro Breakbot is flaunting his unique amalgam of electro party tunes, hip-hop and dance, and there's also support from forward thinking label owners Joakim and Trevor Jackson. WEST END FILM CLUB:
Catch a special halloween screening of Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys, the film that made vampire flicks cool. There'll be a special pre-screening performance from dark character-comedy duo The Twins Macabre, halloween cocktails and movie snacks, plus a spookily good rooftop halloween party after the screening. HALLOWEEN FILM SCREENINGS:
Hither Green Community Hall and Arts society is showing Monster House (PG) for the kids, plus there are Halloween games, fancy dress and a prize for best pumpkin. £5, adults accompanying a child go free, 2pm. In the evening there's a screening of The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari (U) with live musical accompaniment by Igor Outkine. £10, prebook, 2pm and 7pm
OXFORD STREET CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH-ON:
Kylie Minogue will switch on the spectacular Christmas Lights outside the Pandora Marble Arch flagship store, officially launching London’s festive shopping season. The show promises to excite and entertain shoppers from start to finish with a stellar line up of live performances from Foxes, Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Gabrielle Aplin, as well as cast member from Matilda the Musical. 5.30pm
CULTURE, COMPASSION AND COMMUNITY:
