FOLKING AROUND:
Folking Around is a not-for-profit, musician-led collective which plays at Woody's, Kingston, on the first Wednesday of every month. The event presents a host of talented artists to perform at the intimate riverside venue. Free entry, 8pm.

SUFFRAGETTE SEASON:
To celebrate the UK release of the British feature film Suffragette, the Houses of Parliament is running a ‘Suffragette Season’ of special events this October. Enjoy a unique tour of the House of Commons followed by a convivial three-course dinner in the Members’ Dining Room. PINATA OF LAUGHS:

CIRCUS:
To celebrate its 40th anniversary and highlight its continuous partnership with the rising stars of UK circus, Jacksons Lane hosts Silver Lining,  a one-off special fusion of live music and stunning circus. Featuring a host of multi-talented musical circus artists, expect singers on handstands, torch songs on Cyr wheels and arias in the air, £11.95/£9.95, prebook, 8pm.

DR JOHNSON WALK:
Follow in Dr Johnson's footsteps and explore the courts and alleys off Fleet Street with an experienced City guide. Learn about Johnson's Fleet Street — his life and work in and around the area — and the rest of his City, by exploring the Fleet Valley, Ludgate Hill and St Paul's Churchyard areas as Johnson knew them. Meet outside Dr Johnson's House, No booking required. £5/£4 concessions, 3pm.

THE LOST GRAPES:
A quirky off-beat approach to wine tasting and education at Bedales Wines in Borough Market. You don't need to be a novice or a connoisseur to enjoy tasting the lost grapes of the wine world. £27, 7pm.

#SEGASKYBAR:
Enjoy some retro gaming and karaoke at Tompkins's Sky Bar complete with 360° views and a bunch of Sega consoles. Grab a drink whilst getting the chance to play your favourite games from your childhood, from Golden Axe to Street Fighter II. Over 21s only. Dress code: smart casual. Tickets £4, 6pm.

MORNING GLORYVILLE:
Wake yourself up on Wednesday by partying in the early hours at Morning Gloryville, the wake up rave party which has DJs, free yoga and massage, wake up 'angels', superfoods and a smoothie station. £18, 6:30am-10:30am.

BELLYDANCE FITNESS:
Looking to tone up whilst having fun? Then try Bellydance fitness! Book a single class or a block of five. £9 for one class (normally £12) £40 for five classes, 8pm.
TOYAH WILCOX AND BAND:
Punk princess and 80s icon Toyah Wilcox is one of a kind. She will be performing her classics and new singles at the Boisdale, Canary Wharf. Ticket includes a two-course dinner or a cocktail, £15, 8pm.
COMEDY:
A triple serving of comedy at 99 Club Leicester Square including Hal Cruttenden presenting his surreal comedy, Nathan Caton with his sharp stories and rapid-fire punchlines, and Scots funnyman Iain Stirling, £8, 8:30pm.

The Zoological Society of London presents Roar with Laughter on 9 October
