The Autumn Season at Enfield borough's duo of cultural centres, Millfield Theatre and Dugdale Centre, presents a seriously diverse programme of visual art, drama, dance, film, music and poetry.

October, of course, is Black History Month and Enfield celebrates with a selection of divine dance, dramatic lingerie, a comedy chat show and lots of live music.

Ballet Black

It's a real coup for the borough to attract world-class dance from the fabulous Ballet Black, a professional ballet company of international dancers of black and Asian descent. They present a beautiful triple bill of work created by Will Tuckett (The Royal Ballet), Kit Holder (Birmingham Royal Ballet) and award-winning Dracula choreographer Mark Bruce (master of the strange and unexpected). The latter's new narrative ballet is a dark fairytale inspired by Yeats's Second Coming and we urge you not to miss it.

At Millfield Theatre, Edmonton on 14 and 15 October. Tickets are £16/£14 or £15/£13 + bkg online.

The Femmetamorphosis

Several women; one lingerie party. Created by London born writer, director and actress Sharron Spice and performed by Elicit Theatre Company this comedy play is an interracial, intergenerational tale of sisterhood and solidarity, of women triumphing against adversity.

At Dugdale Centre, Enfield Town on 8,9 and 10 October, 7.45pm. Tickets are £15/£13 or £14/£12 +bkg online.

Judith Jacobs's Yabba Yabba

With Javone Prince as her guest, this is bound to be a lively, laugh out loud episode of Judith's live chat show. Star of E4's hilarious Phone Shop, The Javone Prince Show is coming to the telly soon so this is a great time to see him. Also joining them is the award-winning, 'Duchess of Comedy' Glenda Jaxson, one of too few successful black female comedians.

At Dugdale Centre, Enfield Town on 25 October. Tickets £13.50 or £12.50 +bkg online.
