Bookworms should wriggle their way over to Boxpark in Shoreditch in the coming days as a new Penguin bookshop opens at the site.
Marking Penguin's 80th birthday, the shop will be a treasure trove of beautiful books celebrating Penguin’s rich history of innovative design and fantastic stories.
Look out for Penguin Modern Classics, Little Black Classics and Penguin by Hand. There'll also be merch based on original Penguin books including Jane Austen mugs, Sherlock Holmes notebooks and Virginia Woolf bags. As it's a birthday celebration, anything you buy can be gift-wrapped in paper featuring classic Penguin book covers, for free.
Open from Tuesday 8 to Sunday 13 September, the shop will be a hub for various 80th birthday celebratory events. Look out for illustrator Toby Triumph, who'll be in store each day between 12pm and 1pm, creating a bespoke mural for the shop.
