Doctor Who, Shaun The Sheep & Sir David Attenborough: It's The Radio Times Festival

Fans of the small screen should flock to Hampton Court Palace in September for the inaugural Radio Times Festival.

Four days of special events will feature appearances from Sir David Attenborough and Sir Bruce Forsyth, GBBO's Paul Hollywood, actor David Walliams, and writers Russell T Davies and Lynda La Plante. Telly addicts can get the inside stories on shows like Wolf Hall, EastEnders, Silent Witness and Poldark, while radio heads should look out for events like the Secret Sounds of the Archers, Peter Jefferson talking about the Shipping Forecast, and an audience with Annie Nightingale.

Fab family festival fun comes in the form of Morph model making workshops (Morph!); storytelling with Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler, David Walliams and Julian Clary; and the chance to celebrate Thomas the Tank Engine's birthday.

Plus, for fans of the magazine itself, there's the chance to meet the team of writers, photographers and editors who create the national institution each week. And there's the usual festival fayre of book signings, food and drink from gourmet street stalls and bars, and boutique shopping.

The Radio Times Festival runs from 24-27 September at Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Upon Thames, KT8 9AU. Ticket prices vary: visit radiotimesfestival.com to find out more.
