Gresham College holds a free lecture at Museum of London about the Brethren of Trinity House, who have been responsible for safety around our shores, through lighthouses, for 500 years. Free, just turn up, 1pm

MAGNA CARTA:
There’s a lunchtime talk at St Paul’s Cathedral about how St Paul’s became a major focus of opposition to King John during the crises of 1212-1216. Find out why the majority of the cathedral canons sided with the barons against the King and what led to the dramatic moment King John resigned the crown in St Paul’s Cathedral. WRITING WORKSHOP:
Inua Ellams, writer in residence at Soho Theatre, leads a workshop on using the monologue as a tool for creating atmosphere and tension in theatre writing. £30/£25, prebook, 2pm-5pm

MAGNA CARTA:
Historian and journalist Derek Taylor, author of Magna Carta in 20 Places, is at Dartmouth House in Mayfair to discuss the Magna Carta, and why it became so important globally. £10/£8, prebook, 7pm

Good Cause of the Day

Tonight, eight award-winning comedians are at Comedy Store to raise money for The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. Black Lives Matter sees MC Jason Patterson, Marlon Davis, Ola, Funmbi Omotayo, Dane Baptiste, Prince Abdi, Nabil Abdulrashid and Nathan Caton take to the stage. More information and tickets.
