CITY OF LONDON FESTIVAL:
From today, expect to see live music, dance, theatre and more taking over the Square Mile for three weeks for the City of London Festival. Hear jazz on the top floor of the city's skyscrapers, watch classical music in the historic churches, see performances in the green spaces and squares and more. Sadly there's no bowler hat this year. FREEDOM OF HILLINGDON:
The centenary of the RAF Northolt airfield is being celebrated with a parade through the streets of Uxbridge. Over 200 armed service personnel will march down the High Street in Uxbridge, from Harefield Road to the Civic Centre forecourt, where they will be received by Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr George Cooper. It’s free to watch. Free, just turn up, 10.40am-11.40am

NIGHT SAFARI:
Natural History Museum has a Night Safari, exploring the diverse wildlife of London, from the prehistoric to the modern day. Three scientists share their expertise, revealing the surprising biodiversity of the capital and the history of when lions roamed Trafalgar Square. Choose from the City Nature or Urban Wildlife Tour. £30, prebook, 6.30pm

HENRY BLOFELD:
With The Ashes tournament beginning soon, get into the cricket spirit with a three course meal, followed by an evening with cricket commentator Henry Blofeld OBE, who will be telling stories of his time in the Test Match special commentary box. At La Brasserie, Chelsea. £75, 7pm

CAMDEN REFUGEE WALK:
Footprints of London is running a series of charity walks in aid of Amnesty International. Tonight's walk explores the impact of refugees on Camden, and shows how they have impacted on the history and life of the Borough. Minimum donation £10, prebook, 7pm

WINE TASTING:
Head to Vivat Bacchus in Paddington to learn all about South African wine from the experts, in a tasting event. £15, 7pm

DEAD WHEN I GOT HERE:
Frontline Club in Paddington holds a screening of documentary Dead When I Got Here, about a man struggling to control a mental asylum run by its patients in Juárez, Mexico. Director Mark Aitken and journalist Ed Vulliamy will hold a Q&A after the screening. £10, 7pm

PARKINSON'S UK CONCERT:
Southbank Centre hosts an evening of  music in aid of Parkinson’s UK. The programme includes works from Zoltán Kodály, Josef Suk and Brahms, Johan Halvorsen, David Popper and Tchaikovsky, all performed by internationally renowned soloists.£21/£31.50, 7.30pm

CABARET LIFE DRAWING:
Cabaret meets life drawing at The Spiegeltent on South Bank. As the mayhem unfolds on stage, Dr Sketchy’s artists capture the action, imbuing proceedings with an added layer of surrealism. £20, 7.30pm
