There's A Giant Waterslide Coming To Alexandra Palace

What could possibly make the outstanding views across London from Alexandra Palace even better? Seeing them whizz past while you splash your way down a 150-metre-long water slide, of course.

The SlideRider is coming to Alexandra Palace as part of its Summer Festival on 25 July, with the slippery fun raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Alongside the slippery ride will be a host of other activities taking place throughout the day, including live music, an ice rink gala, and street food stalls.

You can also get your jive on at a silent disco — there are nine different themed sets ranging from child-friendly tunes to Britpop and rave classics. For a more sedate experience, take a history tour around the unseen parts of the Palace, including the Victorian Theatre — one of the last chances to tour the building before renovation work begins.

Challenge your friends to a round of golf on the 10-hole pitch and putt course, replete with bunkers, trees, and situated on a challenging slope.

For those wanting to explore more of the park, segways are available to hire. And as the sun sets, watch an outdoor screening of Dirty Dancing. Even if you haven't had the time of your life, you'll have had a pretty blinking good day out.

Alexandra Palace Summer Festival takes place on Saturday 25 July, 11am-11pm. Entry is free but there is a charge/required booking for some activities including the slide, cinema and history tours.
