The Royal Institute of British Architects has announced the 37 winners of the 2015 RIBA National Awards, and 14 of the list are in London.

The National Theatre, Foyles bookshop and Bonhams feature, as well as three housing developments and two schools. One of our favourites, The Foundry in Vauxhall, is a former shoe polish factory transformed into a social justice and human rights centre due to open later this year.

Said RIBA president Stephen Hodder: "The UK is blighted by poor-quality new housing and dilapidated school buildings, so I am delighted that the notable trends amongst this year's RIBA National Award-winners are the volume of inspiring new housing and education projects."

The housing developments probably aren't the answer to London's current housing woes (as we reported yesterday, there's a serious shortfall in affordable new houses in the city), but they're certainly very pretty to look at.
