This week, Parisian authorities began the task of removing love locks (that's padlocks with enamoured couples' names written or engraved on them) from the Pont des Arts, where part of the railing collapsed under the weight of them last year.
While London doesn't quite compete with the city of love in those stakes, we have a few pockets of love locks dotted around the capital, the main culprit being the fence outside Shoreditch High Street station (not London's most romantic spot, it has to be said). From time to time, they appear on the bridges crossing the Thames too. Know of any others? Let us know in the comments below.
