It's time to launch the next theme of our London Short Fiction series, and once again we're looking for YOUR creative scribblings/typings.

So what's the theme? we hear you cry. It's London's Green Spaces. How you interpret this is up to you. As long as London is a recognisable component of your story, you're in the pink (or should that be green?).

Maybe your story will be set in a clandestine rooftop garden, it might feature a green-fingered Beefeater, a lethal allergy of pollen, a cricket match in the suburbs, or maybe it's about a park fountain that becomes all hip and starts spewing forth endless Aperol spritz. Perhaps it'll be none of these. For more inspiration, check out other stories that Londonist readers have had published.

Here are the rules in full:

1) Stories must be no more than 1,000 words
2) Stories must be set in London, or heavily influenced by the city in some way
3) We don’t just want an interesting scenario — the piece also has to be well written, with believable characters
4) Send entries to fiction@londonist.com
5) You get to keep full copyright
6) We’ll run the theme over the next few weeks, so get your story in ASAP for consideration

We can’t wait to get stuck into your stories. Good luck!
