Fancy watching a film in the bewitching surroundings of Brompton Cemetery? How about in the shadow of Fulham Palace, or even among the kegs at Meantime Brewery?
All of the above and more feature in Nomad Cinema's summer programme. Its biggest summer so far consists of 46 events in 19 locations across London, from secluded squares and historical buildings to parks and secret gardens — Hyde Park Lido, Coram Secret Garden and Bushy Park to name just a few.
New for this summer is Courtyard Cinema at the RA, a series of screenings in the Annenberg Courtyard, outside Burlington House at the Royal Academy of Arts. Casablanca, In the Mood for Love, The Darjeeling Limited and Frances Ha will all be screened here, with a musical element — such as live jazz or Indian tabla players — to accompany each film.
Films being shown at other venues range from Paddington to Romeo + Juliet to Pan's Labyrinth to Superman. We could go on, but you're probably better off taking a look yourself.
Nomad Cinema's Summer season runs 17 May-30 September (outdoor screenings begin in July). Tickets for outdoor screenings range from £12.50-£20, and are available now.
