Horniman Museum is open late

DUTCH FILMS:
Dutch Centre and Cinema Bioscoop are organising Dutch Cinema, the first edition of the film festival for the Dutch and Flemish cinema in London. Various prices, prebook, 14-17 May

FRIDA KAHLO:
Michael Hoppen Gallery in Chelsea opens a new exhibition about Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. It shows Ishiuchi Miyako's photographic record of her wardrobe and belongings — photos of over 300 artefacts feature. Until 12 July

BRITISH ACADEMY LATE:
Head along to the British Academy tonight for an evening themed around fairy tales and folk tales. Londonist will be there with fantastical fairy tales by London Dreamtime, and we'll also be inventing tales about the monsters of the tube map, so get your imagination in gear. Free, 6pm-9pm

CUCKOO EVOLUTION:
Professor Nicholas Davies gives a Royal Society lecture about cuckoos, and their evolutionary ability to living off other species. The "host" species have also evolved over time to try to combat the cuckoos' trickery. Free, just turn up, 6.30pm

Author Polly Samson is at Bloomsbury Publishing in Fitzrovia to talk to Bloomsbury editor-in-chief Alexandra Pringle about her new book, The Kindness. £8, 6.30pm

LONDON SCULPTURE:
Sculpture historian Dr Tom Flynn is in Holborn to discuss aspects of public sculpture and its susceptibility to theft and other forms of abuse. The evening is run by London Art Salon, and tickets include wine and canapes. £40, prebook, 6.30pm

LOST LECTURES:
Lost Lectures is a series of talks taking place in secret locations, away from traditional corporate and academic environments. Tonight experts on sex parties, grime and the Russian underworld give talks at a secret location revealed on booking. £45, 6.30pm

Horniman Museum is open late for a nature-themed, adults-only event, featuring taxidermy, 1920s nature films with an electronic live score, street artists painting wildlife, tours, cocktails, food and more. You can also see the current Plantastic exhibition. £5, 6.30pm

WINE TASTING:
Get an insight into European wines at The Mitre in Greenwich. Throughout the course of the evening, try six wines from three regions, and all the nibbles you can handle. £25, 7pm

SILENT FILM:

PIANO CONCERTO:

Good Cause of the Day

Tonight at the Menier Gallery in Southwark, there's a book launch, charity auction and exhibition — a collaborative project of creatives from all around the world who each submit a completely unique 3D sculpture for the exhibition/auction. Proceeds go to Mary's Meals, which aims to find a solution to world hunger.
