Congratulations to Eleanor Taylor, Carly Allen Fletcher and Eliza Southwood for scooping 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively at the Prize for Illustration at London Transport Museum last night.

The prize exhibition once again demonstrates a huge range of illustration styles, techniques and approaches, resulting in a vibrant display of 100 original posters all themed around London Places and Spaces.

Subjects are many and various, from St Saviour's Dock to Dennis Severs' House, Abney Park Cemetery to the Horniman Museum. There are bird's eye views, microscopic focus, overground and underground imaginings. Abstract compositions hang alongside hyperreal landscapes, urban fantasies and a huge cast of London characters and monuments.

You can be among the first to see the winning entries and 97 other artworks at the Friday Late, tomorrow 15 May, where you can also explore the museum on a scavenger hunt, play giant garden games, make your own poster, listen to talks and/or jazz or just chill out in the pop-up park on a transport-themed deckchair with a Pimm's (two for one offer!)

We’re delighted to be media partner to London Transport Museum and will be bringing you snapshots and stories behind the illustrations throughout the exhibition’s run.

The Prize for Illustration 2015: London Places and Spaces exhibition is at London Transport Museum, Covent Garden, 15 May-6 September 2015. Entry to the museum costs £16 or £13.50 for concessions, and allows access for a 12 month period from the date of purchase, children go free. Tickets to the Friday Late on 15 May cost £12/£10.
