It's the last Friday of the month which means that the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington is open late for adults with live performances, cutting-edge fashion, film, installations, debates, special guests and DJs, with bars, food, and late-night exhibition openings. BRING BACK THE NHS:

GENIUS TOUR:
This walking follows in the footsteps of the creative luminaries who've been inspired while walking London's streets: from literary greats like W.B. LASER NIGHT:
The Royal Institution's Friday Night Discourse focuses on lasers. They have everyday uses, for example in DVD players, but here, scientist Dr Kate Lancaster talks the audience through some of the more extreme uses of lasers: miniaturising particle accelerators, making astrophysical conditions in the lab, and creating fusion energy. £17/£11, prebook, 7.50pm

COMEDY:
There’s a free comedy night at the Rose and Crown in Kentish Town, featuring new material from Felicity Ward, Amy Howeska, James Bennison and many more. Free, just turn up, 8pm

CIRCUS NIGHT:
The Aeronaut in Acton hosts a circus evening more intimate than the traditional big top circuses.  Performers include jugglers, hula hoopers, dancers, contortionists, magicians and comedians. £8.75, 9pm
