Starting this weekend, Southbank Centre and National Trust are joining forces to take Londoners on a recce of London's architectural gems — from the comfort of a Routemaster.

All three tours are hosted by architectural experts, on board a 1962 Routemaster coach, and visit places that are usually off-limits to the public.

This Saturday's tour, focusing on high-rise and brutalist architecture, has sold out, but tickets for the following two Saturdays are still available. 25 April explores private versus public space and the rise of post-modern architecture. Then finally, visit the Millennium Dome and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 2 May.

These tours are part of the Changing Britain Festival which begins at Southbank Centre this weekend. Each of the three weekends focuses on a different period of Britain's social and political history from 1945 to the present day.

Tours are £35 each and need to be booked in advance. Book for 25 April here or 2 May here. Tours take place 1.30pm-5.30pm, beginning and ending at Southbank Centre.
