We've already shared a sneak preview of what to expect from the Other Art Fair this April, but who are the artists to look out for? All five of our picks from the last fair will be returning, but here's five more artists we're excited about:
Barbara Nati
Photomanipulation is used to create imaginary and surreal landscapes including broken houses emerging from trees. It's mind-bending and eye-catching stuff.
Gina Soden
We've seen a lot of Gina's photographs and nobody quite captures the abandoned like her. Whether it be a deserted chemical plant or a people free island.
Blandine Bardeau
We like how these works don't obey the rule of remaining within the canvas limits and want to breach the frame. There are many layers to her work that have to be seen up close to be appreciated.
Tommy Clarke
We're suckers for a good aerial photograph and these visions of an idyllic beach or bright blue sea are pure escapism.
Thomas Dowdeswell
There is tons of energy in these works and a hidden world of imprisoned people that demands closer inspection.
Even though these five are our favourites, there are 125 more artists to look out for at the fair. And it's not just the artists who'll be there: younger visitors can discover The House of Fairy Tales and there will be other performances, art projects and a fully-stocked bar courtesy of Meantime Brewery and Fever Tree. YBA Gavin Turk's prints will also be on sale.
